Ceci + Elias

There's a version of this story that starts before Ceci and Elias said "yes" to Acapulco, at another wedding, the Jewish ceremony of Ceci's cousins Emily & Alberto, where I was behind the camera and she was in the crowd, watching. Months later she reached out for her own wedding, and that is how I ended up in Punta Sirena, a venue you descend almost to sea level to reach, the ocean close enough to feel the spray.

Ceci's Look

Ceci wore a gown by Kate Willa, paired with the Cassidy sandal from Cult Gaia, a combination that felt effortless and intentional at once, built for a bride who was going to be dancing barefoot in the sand by midnight anyway. Her makeup was done by Michelle Cherem, soft and luminous, the kind of work that holds up under both direct Acapulco sun and string lights at 1am.

The design and decor, led by Coco & Blanc Weddings, leaned into the setting rather than fighting it. Nothing overworked the beach. Instead, the styling let Punta Sirena's natural drama, the cliffs, the water, the open sky, do most of the talking, while the finer details carried the couple's own personality through the tablescapes and lounge areas.

Why Acapulco Works for a Destination Wedding

For couples considering Mexico for a destination wedding, Acapulco offers something a lot of the more obvious coastal towns don't: drama. Cliffside settings like Punta Sirena give a wedding a sense of scale and adventure that a flat beach simply can't match, while still keeping guests within easy reach of an international airport. Ceci and Elias's wedding is a good example of what that trade-off can look like when it works: a civil ceremony with real gravity, a party with real energy, and a setting that guests will be talking about for years.
